Marty and Louise Harshman

Marty and Louise Harshman, owners of Tim Horton's outlets in Port Elgin and Southampton, have good reason to smile.

Their two outlets recently became part of the 10 per cent elite of the chain in Ontario when they received 'Platinum' status.

The ranking requires that a very stringent set of standards are met including:  cleanliness, speed of service, friendliness of staff, food production services and administration.

"There are many areas that have to meet the high standards set out by the Tim Horton organization," says owner Louis Harshman, "and it's thanks to the hardworking and dedicated staff that we are fortunate enough to have, that we reached the Platinum level."

The award is annual and, therefore, standards must pass inspection each year.
