Winter doesn't officially arrive for two more weeks, but Friday brought lots of snow and squalls to blanket the Kincardine area, just in time for the Santa Claus Parade Saturday night.

It was a good time to try out that snowblower to ensure it works, or the new snow shovel or just to play in the snow. However, it was a difficult time for motorists trying to stay on the road amid the snow squalls.

The snow continued Saturday and more was expected Sunday and into Monday.
