Southampton Rotary Club honoured Jenny Amy with the prestigious Paul Harris Award at its annual Christmas dinner Wednesday, December 8.

Rotary President, Michael LaBlance presented the Paul Harris Award to Jenny Amy

Amy, who operates Chantry Breezes B&B in Southampton, received two previous Paul Harris Awards while living in Oakville but this is her first with the Southampton Rotary.

The award named for Rotary International's founder, Paul P. Harris is given to nominated recipients for their community service.  "This is really an honour because it recognizes the work that is done by a Rotarian," said Amy, "and which I'll continue to do."

Since 1922, the organization has been known as Rotary International and, today, has chapters on six continents with membership of men and women numbering in the millions.

Santa paid an early visit to the Rotary meeting and gave out small gifts including one to the evening's award winner, Jenny Amy
