Chippewa Golf Course outside of Southampton has undergone some major changes since the fall.

As seen from HWY 21 ... Pond at Hole # 9 is just  one of  the many new features that will showcase Chippewa’s new look this coming golf season

Chippewa’s owner, Geza Kocsis , says that,  "The course  renovations undertaken this fall are now complete.  I can’t say enough about Golf course architect David Moote and his crew.   In less than two months  - 15 of our 18 holes have had design changes."

Among the changes are new tees, fairway and green’s bunkering, three large ponds, tree planting and fairway re-routing.

Kocsis , now entering his 7th year as owner , has been planning these changes since his ownership and hired his architect two years ago to help bring these changes to fruition.

“Our guiding principles for these changes have been – Playability for ALL – challenge and excitement – speed of play – aesthetics – environmental responsibility – and of course affordability. The golfing public will be amazed at the changes we have brought about.” says Kocsis proudly.

With the arrival of spring, weather permitting and before the course is open for play ,Chippewa invites the public for a free cart tour to see the changes.
