Holiday bells were ringing at Ripley-Huron Community School Thursday afternoon and again Thursday night, as the students held their dress rehearsal and then the actual Christmas concert. The band opened the show, under the direction of Janet Browne, playing four pieces, including "Holiday Bells Are Ringing." The Grades 4 and 5/6 students gathered on stage and brought some style with "Hip-Hop Reindeer," and then the Grade 6 band performed "Jingle Bells." The Senior Kindergarten and Grade 1 class spelled out the word "Love" in a heartfelt presentation, followed by the Grades 7/8 band doing "Up On the Housetop." Grades 1-3 performed "All I Want is ... Nuttin'," followed by the Grade 8 band playing "St. Nick Salsa," and the concert wrapped up with the Kindergarten children performing "S-A-N-T-A," "St. Nicholas Had a Band," "Where is Santa?" and "Angel Band."
