Our deepest sympathy is sent to Donna Swan on the loss of her daughter, Dianne Swan Catto, and to Bev Blackett on the loss of her twin brother, Bob Ibbotson of London. Brian and Nancy King of Chatham visited with her mother, Largaret, and sister, Karen McInnes, last weekend. Largaret and Karen McInnes enjoyed the Dore and McInnes family Christmas gathering at the home of Dianne, Allan, Quinn and Kirsten Gottschalk in Shakespeare on Sunday. Mary Anne Kukoly had a nice visit with Wendy Herbert at the Soundsation concert in Wingham recently. Alicia Thacker of Port Coquitlam, B.C., is spending a month in Ghana at their pineapple farm. On Monday, Mary Beth Kerr invited the ladies of the Ripley and District Walking Group and the ladies of the community who exercise with the VON Exercise Group, for a visit to see her family's renovated home. The coffee time also included some of the 12th concession neighbours. Tyson van de Sype of Guelph visited with his grandparents, Fran and Jim Farrell, and Aunt Carmen during the week. On Friday evening the Farrells had their family Christmas with Derk and Lillian Logtenberg of Goderich, Heather Clark of Mississauga, Crystal Fergus and Jamie of Mount Forest, Glen and friend Sarah Smitgenf of Mitchell, and Chris van de Sype of Guelph. Congratulations to the Ripley and
District Business Community for its 10th annual Santa Claus parade.
There was an excellent turnout to watch the brightly-lit floats go
by, to enjoy the great food provided, and to take a ride with the
MacDonald team and wagon.
Recently Mary Anne Kukoly enjoyed visits with Maureen and Roy Collins of Lucknow, Shirley Gilders of Clinton and Largaret McInnes of Kincardine. Richard Nicholson visited with Deanna and Morley Scott on Sunday. All the Purple Grove folks, near and far, are looking forward to the annual Christmas concert on Saturday, Dec. 18.
