Super sports fan, Vi Cottrill, was honoured with flowers on the occasion of her 75th birthday at the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks game on Friday, December 17th.

Well known in the area as a 'die-hard' sports fan, Cottrill walks to every venue to watch every age level at almost every sporting event.  Whether it's hockey, bowling or baseball in the summer, she's there regardless of weather.

Cottrill has followed the area's local athletes for many generations and never forgets a name or statistic and can site sporting records from throughout the years.

She has been recognized on many occasions, including dropping the puck for season openers of the Saugeen Shores Senior Men's Winterhawks hockey while wearing her special team sweater presented by the organization.

Those athletes who have grown up in Saugeen Shores instantly recognize and appreciate their many fans but, especially, their number one fan ... Vi Cottrill.
