It has come to the attention of Safe N Sound that information has been circulating suggesting our services were closed through the Christmas Season this past year.

Quite concerning there were reports of people being dug out of snow banks, with nowhere to seek shelter.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Safe N Sound would like to express concern for anyone mislead by the information, and to advise the community of Grey Bruce that our services were active throughout the Christmas Season, 7 days a week. This information was posted on our  door at the Space, which is our community centre,  and was also communicated through our phone messages. As an added precaution people were also directed to call 211 if they were unsure where to get help.

At this time Safe N Sound wants to ensure that folks in need know there is help in the community. Should you find yourself without housing, or know someone who is in need please call the Safe N Sound Emergency Phone Line at 519-470-2222. Our emergency line is active 7 days a week between the hours of 4:30 PM, and 10:00 PM.  Please note there is also 211, when you are unsure where to get specific types of help.

We are sorry for the miscommunication, and want people to know Safe N Sound is completely committed to continuing with Emergency and Support Services to those who are homeless, impoverished, or at risk of becoming homeless.
