We were in China in November and were amazed at the trees and shrubs growing along the highways in the countryside and the cities. We were told that everyone working in China must take a particular day off in May and plant trees. Since a few cities in China each have greater populations than all of Canada, you can see how many trees are planted each year.

Let's get Bruce County to add to the Bruce Power initiative. Even Saugeen Shores could do something about the closure of Highway 21 between Southampton and Port Elgin and plant trees. The line of evergreens the Prydes planted on the south side of their farm years ago is a good example.
