The January thaw didn't last very long. New Year's Day brought warm temperatures and rain, but by Monday, it was cold again, with lots of snow. Tuesday (yesterday), saw even more snow and a brief but powerful snowstorm hit in the afternoon, dumping several centimetres of the fluffy white stuff in downtown Kincardine. Many people said they didn't mind the snow as it made everything pristine again. However, motorists were too busy cleaning off their vehicles and clearing driveways to notice much.
