Now that we have recovered from the holiday season (or not), it is time to get on with 2011. The Tiverton Agricultural Society will be hosting its Annual Meeting at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre, Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 7:30 p.m. EVERYONE IS WELCOME. If you have ever wanted to get involved in local events, this is the year, as the Tiverton Agricultural Society is celebrating its 150th Fall Fair. We need extra volunteers to ensure that this anniversary is special. We can accommodate your individual needs, whether it be for one day, one particular event or even one hour! You may sign up to volunteer, with Dianne Todd at 519-368-7114 or Doreen Soloduka at 519-368-7768. We invite high school students to sign up as well. We are planning extra events throughout the summer to help kick off this special Fair. We are looking forward to being involved with Tiverton Winterfest, February 11-13. We are hosting a Euchre Party on Saturday, Feb. 12, from 1:30-4 p.m. at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre. Contact Mary Young at 519-368-7714. On Sunday, Feb. 13, join us at our Jamboree at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre. Music is provided by the Country Troubadours and Al Weatherall from 2-7 p.m. A hot meal and dessert will be served at 5 p.m. Contact Doreen Soloduka at 519-368-7768.
