Grades 1-8 students at Ripley-Huron Community School had a New Year's dinner Tuesday at lunch time to make up for the Christmas dinner that had to be cancelled last year.

A fund-raiser for the Grade 8 students, the meal included turkey and all the trimmings, plus beverages and dessert.

Besides the crowd served at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre, there were about 150 dinners sent out for others to enjoy, including Huron-Kinloss Township council and staff at the general committee meeting held at the municipal hall.
