In Bruce County, winter can be considered long and, for many, uneventful except at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre in Southampton, Saugeen Shores.

This year, 2011, the Centre has begun several 'winter entertainment' features for the entire family ... or just children ... or just adults.

From nostalgia movies to lego building to 'snow-day' activities, the Museum is answering the needs of the local community through the 'what-can-be-considered-long'  winter months.

Everyone in Saugeen Shores who has children in school is well aware of 'snow days',  when schools are closed and roads are almost impassable and school is cancelled.  What to do?  Well, now the Bruce County Museum has stepped into the breach with its snow-day activities.

Like any other local event however, success depends on the support of those residents who live in the area year-round and, therefore, the Museum is depending on the community to make Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre events busy, fun and entertaining for all.
