Princes Street, between Durham and Lambton Streets in Kincardine, was closed most of Wednesday as heavy equipment was brought in to clear the snow from the sides of the street and along driveways.

The snow was piled so high that motorists had difficulty viewing traffic when they pulled out of their driveways onto the street.

Kempton Construction of Amberley had a backhoe dumping the snow into a pile in the middle of the street, while a front-end loader gathered it up and put it in dump trucks to be hauled away.
