The weekend found Tiverton's Atom and Bantam teams competing for Gold in the Wade Simmons Memorial Hockey Tournament.

The Bantam boys took silver and the Kincardine Bantams went home with the Gold. The Atom team took home the Gold, winning against Tillsonburg. Congratulations to Ron and Debbie Simmons and family on a well-run tournament.

A special welcome to Dee Money of Seaforth as she visited the area with friends. Dee left a little part of herself behind as The Pearl has named a drink after her.

This is the year the Fifty List is going to grow, as my much, much older sister gets very close to it. Thinking he got away without mention of him making the list was Kevin ‘Chevy’ Hayes as he hit the list in late December. David ‘Flak’ Bonnett marks his 51st birthday this week and handsome Dale Campbell turns 17.
