Judi Chambers of Bruce Power emphasizes a point about the exciting beach party slated for July 16 at Reunion Park, Kincardine Bruce Power is planning to hold its annual beach party on July 16 at Reunion Park, Kincardine. However, this year, the company's popular purple balloons will no longer be part of the celebration. In a presentation to Kincardine council Wednesday night (Jan. 12), Judi Chambers of Bruce Power, said the balloons will not be handed out due to their effect on wildlife. The free, non-alcoholic, family event is held each year in either Kincardine or Saugeen Shores, as a way to thank the communities for their continued support, said Chambers.

The company is environmentally-responsible, she said, with an
in-town bus shuttle service, composting, recycling, garbage pick-up,
event clean-up and now, no balloons. The party runs from 6-10 p.m., and Bruce Power is expecting 3,000 people to attend. There will be music, entertainment, activities, free beef on a bun, and at the end of the night, a fireworks display. Chambers requested council approval for the event, and received it, no questions asked. Scrolling stops when you move your mouse inside the scroll area. You can click on the ads for more
