As this is reported, it appears this committee will be hamstrung before it begins - limit the number of participants, hand pick the members that council wants and screen out anyone who doesn't agree with them, restrict public input to a maximum of 3 meetings, and only focus on the main beaches in Port Elgin and Southampton.

The waterfront committee should deal with the entire waterfront from the Saugeen River to MacGregor Point Provincial Park.  And Diane Huber is right.  There should be representation from all the groups that "have an axe to grind" to ensure every voice and opinion is heard and valued.  Council  will be surprised by the information that is presented and everyone will benefit from looking at things from a different point of view.
