It seems to me that the proponents of this “two-five” committee are missing an opportunity for community involvement. The inclusion of a larger number of participants can do nothing but enhance this planning process. Surely in the Southampton-Port Elgin communities there are many more folks that could contribute to this project. At the end of the day a consultant will be required to put the finishing touch to the project. But at the beginning of the “day” it should be the citizens (and lots of them) to offer the ideas that will enhance the waterfront.
