Mayor Mike Smith officially opens the Walk for Memories

The hallways of Saugeen District Secondary School were filled with walkers on Saturday, January 29th.

The walkers were there as part of the annual Alzheimers' Walk for Memories that raises funds for the Alzheimers' foundation.

"We aren't quite certain yet how many registered," said organizer Janice Mewhinney, "but we feel it is the best turn-out yet.  Without the many volunteers though, this event would never happen."

Each registrant collected pledge sheets for the Walk for Memories and a final tally on money raised is yet to be determined.

Walkers of every age took part in the walk from 10:00 a.m. to noon through the halls of SDSS.
