Mother Nature isn't shy about dumping heaps of snow our way this season, but one group that isn't complaining is the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs. Spokesperson Susan Sharp says the club has seen a climb in the number of riders using the trails and buying trail passes this year. She reminds riders how important it is to stay on the marked trails. "We rely 100-per-cent on landowners and it's extremely important to stay on the trail," she says. "We don't know sometimes what's off to the side of the trail. It could be something very hazardous or it could be a wheat field and if damage gets done, we could lose permission from the farmers to even have a trail there." Despite the large amounts of snow spread throughout this region, not all trails are in the best condition. Riders are asked to keep themselves up-to-date on trail information by following the club's website at www.ofsc.on.ca
