Get your long underwear on and come out and support the Tiverton Winterfest happening this weekend. The Family Dance is Friday night, skating and toboganning on Saturday, church services and a jamboree on Sunday. Look for the green pamphlet at your local retailers for more information.

Congratulations go out to Rob, Alicia and Justin Noakes of Inverhuron for their hard work and dedication in hosting the third annual Grand Prix de Kincardine. This year's event raised awareness and $1,079 in funding for Autism Ontario and Epilepsy Ontario.

Many of the snowmobilers in the area saddled up and drove to Talisman for an overnight trip on Saturday. Kelly Brown says they had a terrific time.

A ‘Get Warm Soon’ goes out to our winter Texans at the Bluebonnet Park as they battled the frigid temperatures down in Texas. You’ll have to cuddle up at coffee kids!

Library News
The Tiverton Library is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1-7 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is offering "Free Computer and Internet Lessons." If you ever wanted to learn how to set up an E-mail account, if you have some photos on your digital camera that need uploading, if you want to find information on the Internet or you want to learn some basic skills, call the Tiverton Library at 519-368-5655 to book an appointment.

The library has a Children's Story Time on Thursdays at 1:15 p.m. or Fridays at 10:30 a.m. All children are welcome.

 

Knox Church
The Tiverton Knox Presbyterian Women's Missionary Society (WMS) will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m. in the Sunday School room with Jean Dent presiding. The roll call is: "Something I have learned about Refugees."
    

The Soup Luncheon will be held on Monday, Feb. 21, at Noon at the Knox Presbyterian Church, served by the Men's Group.

Tiverton Baptist Church
The Ladies of the Baptist Church are hosting a Valentine Theme get-together for all ladies on Thursday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. There will be a "Trunk Show" from a long-arm Quilt Artist.  A pastry chef will be giving a demonstration on making a Valentine dessert which we will enjoy eating! Desserts and beverages will be served. This evening is our Valentine gift to you! Come on out for some fun and goodies!
