Due to the snowstorm that closed Highway 21 all day Wednesday (Feb. 2), Kincardine council had to cancel the meeting for that night and has re-scheduled it to Feb. 9.

Initially, council had cancelled its Feb. 9 planning and corporate services committee meeting because there were no planning applications to be heard.

Now, the 11-page agenda slated for Feb. 2 will come to the council table next Wednesday, beginning at 5 p.m.

That meeting will focus on:

  • The replacement of the fire department pumper truck at a cost of almost $440,000
  • The terms of reference for a public advisory group for recreation - what is currently the recreation committee
  • And finally council members will be able to comment on their priorities for the 2010-14 term

The council priorities item has been deferred from the Jan. 12 and the Jan. 26 meetings.
