The
Annual General Meeting of the Kincardine Agricultural Society was held
on Saturday, Jan. 29, following a bountiful noon potluck dinner. Keith Hodgins is the new president, with Eian Farrell and Vicki Hodgins as first and second vice-presidents, respectively. Past-president Burt Hodgins thanked the directors and everyone responsible for making the 2010 fall fair a success, in spite of the inclement weather. The 2011 Kincardine Fall Fair will be held on Sept. 2 and 3, featuring a parade; hall exhibits; dog, poultry, dairy, beef and horse shows; and 4-H exhibits. The Black Family will return as part of the entertainment. Four delegates will attend the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies (OAAS) Convention in Toronto. The Kincardine Farmers' Market will be sponsored again this year, running 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays from May 21 to Oct. 8. The next regular meeting will be held on Monday, Feb. 21 at 8 p.m., at the Kincardine Municipal Administration Centre.
