The Explore the Bruce Adventure Passport saw double the participation last year.

More than 38,000 people utilized the Adventure Passport to get out by foot, motorcycle, bicycle and car to explore Bruce County.

The "Amazing Race"-style contest involves 12 all-new, must-see locations throughout the county.

County tourism manager Kim McPhedran says it's important to select destinations that represent the whole county.

The program introduces thousands of people to beautiful cliff-top vistas along the Bruce Trail, delightful small towns, The Grotto, Sauble's giant sand dunes and the best butter tarts in Mildmay.

The 2010 Adventure Passport had the most contest winners than ever before and gave away $30,000 in prizes, ranging from a two-night golf package to a family canoe package.

The seventh annual Explore the Bruce Adventure Passport kicks off May 2.
