Tiverton Winterfest goes ahead as planned

Al Weatherall and The Country Troubadours entertained at the Winterfest Jamboree

Despite blizzard-like conditions and Highway 21 being closed, Tiverton Winterfest 2011 went ahead as planned on the weekend (Feb. 11-13).

Although the snow-sculpturing was put on hold, some hardy residents enjoyed the tobogganing at the Memorial Park hill.

Approximately 50 people came out to enjoy the music of The Country Troubadors at the Jamboree held Sunday afternoon in the Whitney CrawfordCommunity Centre.

The 'snowball' dance got everyone up on the floor Sunday afternoon

Lions, Judy Semple and Hank Van Moorsel had tasty hotdogs and hot chocolate for tobogganers
