In today's high tech world, Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre (BCM& CC) in Southampton is offering up some 'back to basics' program that are proving so popular there are waiting lists. In the newly created Kids' Korner (sponsored by Enbridge), kids are able to learn new skills. For the past three Thursday evenings, it has been Knitting 101 taught by Tanya Weichel and grandparent volunteers.

Boys, girls and all ages enjoy learning something new "It has been amazing," says Weichel. "These kids are wonderful and just listen to the conversation! They talk non-stop and it's a real social time."
