Congratulations to everyone involved in putting on another excellent Winter Carnival in Ripley. It was fun to have a mini-Purple Grove Reunion at the Pancake Breakfast. Great place to get out and see everyone who has been storm-stayed for the last few days (weeks?).

Thank you ladies of Knox Presbyterian Church for the yummy Valentine's coffee break on Wednesday. Great reason to get out for a visit.

Bette MacLeod was pleased to have a visit with her nephew and his wife, Lindsay and Charlie Millar of Toronto, recently.

Our sympathy goes out to Jewel Reed Eden on the loss of her brother, Jim Reed of Toronto. We will miss his columns in the Marketplace.

Mary Black and Mary Stewart had a good visit with Mildred Wylds at Malcolm House last week.

Frances and Bev Kingston of Chesley, Elizabeth Nicholson, and Deanna and Morley Scott celebrated Valentine's Day early - on Sunday.

Recent visitors with Deanna and Morley were Betty and Art Helm of Paisley (in between snow storms and closed roads).

Irene Boyle celebrated her birthday on Saturday and enjoyed visits with folks in RVilla on Tuesday,  a lunch at Farmers Diner and a gathering at Huron Villa on Friday afternoon. Her family also gathered at her place in Kincardine on Sunday. Happy Birthday to all the other folks celebrating in February.

Mary Anne Kukoly visited with Elizabeth Nicholson on Thursday. They had a great time talking about school days at S.S. No.4, Purple Grove.

We're sure the farmers are glad to hear that the hunters are having success.
