Organizers
of the Tiverton Winterfest once again pulled off a weekend that
rocked even the closure of Highway 21. Great job! Sympathy is sent out to Glenn MacKenzie and his family as his wonderful wife, Barb, lost her battle with cancer. Barb was an iconic figure in the community where she managed to touch the hearts of many with her spontaneous personality and her infectious positivity. She will truly be missed. The Tiverton Bantam girls travelled to the Durham West Tournament on the weekend where they managed to knock the socks off the fans as they battled with very few players and were able to hold their own. Happy 50th goes out to Liz Ballagh as she celebrates being older than Kathleen Young. Library News The Tiverton Library is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1-7 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and is offering "Free Computer and Internet Lessons.” If you ever wanted to learn how to set up an E-mail account; how to download photos from your digital camera, want to find information on the Internet, or just learn some basic skills, call the Tiverton Library at 519-368-5655 to book an appointment. The library also has a Children's Story Time on Thursdays at 1:15 p.m. Or Fridays at 10:30 a.m. All children are welcome. |

Church
The Soup Luncheon will be held on Monday, Feb 21, at Noon at the Knox Presbyterian Church, served by the Men's Group. World Day of Prayer World Day of Prayer will be held at 2 p.m. on March 4 at Knox Church, Tiverton. Everyone is welcome. he host country this year is Chile and we will be showing a DVD with photos and commentary on that country's numerous ethnic diversities. Come to the service and afterward, try some Chilean national food, empanadas, along with fruit and vegetables from Chile. A great chance to celebrate our Chilean brothers and sisters.
