Mother Nature has wreaked havoc on Kincardine council's meeting schedule again.

The blowing and drifting snow that closed Highway 21 all day yesterday (Feb. 9) means council had to cancel its regular meeting which had already been re-scheduled from Feb. 2

Ironically, council had originally cancelled the Feb. 9 meeting because it was a planning and corporate services committee meeting and there were no planning applications to be heard.

The items slated for Feb. 2 and then Feb. 9 will now be incorporated into the Feb. 16 council  meeting agenda.

These items include:

  • The replacement of the fire department pumper truck at a cost of almost $440,000
  • The terms of reference for a public advisory group for recreation - what is currently the recreation committee
  • And finally council members comments on their priorities for the 2010-14 term

The council priorities item had been deferred from the Jan. 12 and the Jan. 26 meetings.
