The Grand Prix de Kincardine racers headed to Listowel on Sunday, Feb. 13, to put on an exhibition race in front of a crowd of 300 at the 14th annual COSDRA Snow Belt Challenge.

A group of 38 racers on 30 sleds battled it out on the Grand Prix snow track in 10 classes to take home $750 in prize money and some great trophies supplied by the Listowel Agricultural Society and event sponsors.

Local racers Justin Noakes, 7, of Inverhuron and Reese Williamson, 7, of Tiverton went head-to-head in the kids' class with Justin Hutchison, 8, of London and Remington Hilderley, 8, of Orangeville.

Griffin Williamson of Tiverton also raced against Troy Denning of Grand Valley, Ben Hart of Mitchell and Luke Hendriks of Lucknow in the youth class for kids up to 16 years of age.

Racers from all over the region competed and put on a great show for the local fans.

The Noakes family of Inverhuron will be making further donations to Autism Ontario and Epilepsy Ontario as a result of support at the event.
