Kincardine's myFM Radio station is basking in the excitement of being named business of the year by the Kincardine and District Chamber of Commerce. The award, sponsored by Herbal Magic, goes to a business that exhibits excellence in business growth, customer service and community leadership. "That pretty much sums up what myFM has been doing since Nov. 30, 2009," says general manager Rob Mise. "myFM and the team here are delighted to be recognized for achievements in business excellence," he says. "Being a business doesn't mean that we conduct our affairs every day to win awards. But it's encouraging when others say great things and recognize our pursuit of excellence. We couldn't be happier. We have a phenomenal team." He offered appreciation to the myFM Broadcasting Corporation for having the foresight and confidence to buy the radio station (formerly The Coast) and improve on local routes that were planted firmly on the shores of Lake Huron, in 2006. Company president Jon Pole says many great, exciting and fun things are planned for the future of myFM.
