Public School introduces new musical initiative |

G. C. Huston School in Southampton, Saugeen Shores, while still teaching traditional music and band, is also moving into new initiatives in order to engage students in new musical avenues. One of the most recent undertakings is the 'Bucket Drumming Brigade' of Grades 6/7. Buckets (a.k.a. paint buckets) were donated by a local hardware store and the students have turned them in to percussion instruments.
"It's very exciting," says school Principal, Dan Russell. "We are encouraging students to become involved in music in whatever capacity. |
