Welcome spring! The birds are singing, days are longer and the snow is melting!

Time to think about getting your exhibits ready for our 150th Fall Fair. A new category this year is "Farm Tractors Wanted."

In keeping with our theme, "150 and Still Kicking," these tractors need to be old, tough, dirty, rusty, in deplorable condition, but in working order. Normally they would never leave home. Let the people judge the worst. Prizes to all who enter.

Another new category is the Junior Culinary Arts. Classes are well-attended, teaching our young the art of baking. But there are a few openings. Contact Anne Marie at 519-368-5898.

The euchre parties at Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton, 1:30 p.m., are in progress. The next few dates are March 21, April 4 and April 18. Contact Mary 519-368-7714.

We are hosting a Jamboree in Underwood on April 17, 2-7 p.m. Dance to the music of Al Weatherall or just come and enjoy a roast beef dinner. Contact Doreen 519-368-7768.

There will judging schools for the following Divisions: Homecraft, Roots and Vegetables, and Field Crops, on May 14 in Walkerton. For more information or to register, call Dianne at 519-368-7114.

Our next general meeting is April 19, 7:30 p.m., at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre. Everyone welcome or visit us at www.tivertonagsociety.com
