Kincardine council in committee-of-the-whole has okayed a site plan amendment, paving the way for a dental clinic at 8 Millennium Way, beside Boston Pizza and the Holiday Inn Express and Suites, at the corner of Highways 9 and 21.

The dental office of Drs. Michael Walden, Ralph Bruce and Mike Hoben, currently located on Lambton Street, Kincardine, will be moving to this site.

The development includes landscaping, light standards to match existing ones, and barrier-free parking and access. The owners would like to camouflage the dumpster in with the landscaping, therefore eliminating the need for a wooden structure.

A minor variance was approved by committee of adjustment in August, 2010, allowing for the dental clinic use and a reduced setback from Highway 21.

The site plan amendment comes before council at tonight's meeting (March 16) for final approval.
