Bruce Power and its employees raised more than $80,000 during a two-hour campaign yesterday (March 22), to assist workers at the Fukushima Nuclear Plant in Japan.

A site-wide gate collection, from 6:30-8:30 a.m., collected roughly $41,000 which was matched   dollar-for-dollar by Bruce Power. That figure is expected to rise as employees have until Friday to contribute to the fund-raising effort.

All money will go directly to the Fukushima Nuclear Plant workers and their families who have suffered devastating losses as a result of the earthquake and subsequent tsunami which inundated a portion of the Northeast Coast of the Japanese Island of Honshu.

Bruce Power and its employees are proud to do what they can, along with many others, to assist the Japanese nation in the wake of this devastating event.
