The new Kincardine downtown tourist booth, at 777B Queen Street, will be open May 1.

Chief administrative officer Murray Clarke stated in a press release, April 17, that the municipality is moving the visitor information centre from its current location on Highway 21, to the downtown location.

"This reflects council's decision to co-locate with Team Kincardine which includes the Kincardine Chamber of Commerce, the Kincardine Business Improvement Area (BIA) and the Penetangore Regional Economic Development Corporation (PREDC)," states Clarke.

Municipal tourism staff will continue to provide high-quality visitor services at the new location, says Clarke. The move may disrupt the normal operating ability for a few days; however, the office can still be reached during the move-in period via E-mail at kincardine@sunsets.com and Facebook at   www.facebook.com/KinTourism.

The telephone number will also remain the same once it is fully operational, at 519-396-2731, but will be impacted during the move, says Clarke.

In the meantime, the tourism website, www.sunsets.com/kincardine, will also provide up-to-date information on everything that is happening in and around the Municipality of Kincardine.
