According to sources, there were sporadic power outages in the Port Elgin area of Saugeen Shores on Friday night, April 1st. One resident reported that the power "kept flickering on and off and then on Saturday morning it was out for more than two hours that I know of as my clock stopped at 8:30 a.m. and then I saw that it started again after 10:30. Extended outages of more than two hours were reported by several Port Elgin residents on Saturday morning. To date, (Sat. p.m.) there is little information as to the cause.
