The Old-Tyme Maple Syrup Festival is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year on March 26 and 27.

It is the largest outdoor Maple Syrup Festival in Grey-Bruce Counties that is held each spring when the maple sap begins to flow for the making of of maple syrup.

There are pancakes and sausage served with real, locally made maple syrup, maple dipped doughnuts cooked in the old-fashioned way over an open fire, horse-drawn sleigh rides and many opportunities to see hand-crafted methods from settler times.

The festival runs through Sunday, March 27 until 4:00 p.m. at the Saugeen Bluffs outside of Paisley, Ontario and there are shuttle buses to the site.
