It was Seedy Saturday yesterday at the Kincardine Library when gardening enthusiasts were invited for a seed exchange.

Janice McKean, organizer of the event, said it is an off-shoot of the gardening course held at the library, which just finished up in March.

About 20 people attended the course which is sponsored by the Kincardine Agricultural Society and the Kincardine Farmers Market.

"Many of the people who come out are experienced gardeners," says McKean. "They want to learn more and they enjoy exchanging techniques about gardening."

Several people arrived for the seed exchange, and checked through the many varieties of vegetable and plant seeds available, taking home something different to try in their gardens this year.
