Household hazardous waste days set for Bruce County |

The Bruce County Highways Department has set up 15 household hazardous waste days throughout the county. The first is in Southampton on April 30. Kincardine's are May 28 and Aug. 27. Lucknow's is on Aug. 13. When in doubt, don't throw it out. Make time to drop off all hazardous waste in an environmentally-safe manner, and keep environmental contaminants out of the landfills and waterways. The depots will be accepting corrosive items, such as batteries and oven cleaners; toxic items, such as pesticides and cleaners; reactives, such as aerosols and fluorescent bulbs and tubes; and flammables, such as gasoline, anti-freeze and propane tanks.
