About 20 people gathered in the Bervie Women's Institute (W.I.) Hall Tuesday evening, March 22, for a home-canning workshop.

Sandra MacDonald welcomed everyone and demonstrated how to make no-cook strawberry jam.

Diane Wilson showed how to make apple jelly; and Janice Hewitt taught how to make pickles, using her favourite recipe.

The Bervie W.I. began these short courses with Pastry 101. More workshops are planned for those who are interested. No experience is necessary. Contact Sandra MacDonald at 519-395-5447, for more information.

All ladies are welcome to attend the Bervie W.I. meetings, held the first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Bervie W.I. Hall.
