Today is the final day to get an early bird ticket for the Highland Fling, a fund-raiser for the Kincardine Scottish Festival and the Kincardine and District Chamber of Commerce.

Prize for the early bird draw is a barbecue and a $200 gift certificate for meat, compliments of Tim-Br Mart and Sobeys Kincardine. 

The event will be held April 16 at Ainsdale Golf Course, and Jackie Pawlikowski of the chamber says this is an important event to help support the local community.

The Scottish Festival is a great event for locals and tourists, while the chamber does numerous things throughout the community, including co-ordinating this year's Fish Kincardine Derby which otherwise would have been cancelled.

The Highland Fling features a dinner, dance and reverse draw, and live entertainment by The Howlin' Dog Jazz Band. Cocktails begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $50 each, available at Jerome Flowers in downtown Kincardine, or from the Scottish Festival office or the chamber office.
