Blake Shelton, last year's Country Music Awards male vocalist of the year, is the headline act for the third annual Music in the Fields, slated for Saturday, Aug. 27 in Lucknow.

The rest of the line-up for the one-day music festival, organized by the Lucknow Kinsmen Club, includes Lonestar, Jason McCoy, Victoria Banks, Dry County, the River Junction Band, and Snakebite.

Shelton brings his popular style of country music to the stage. In 2001, he made his debut with the hit single "Austin" which went on to spend five weeks at Number One on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Overall, Shelton has charted 17 singles on the country charts, including eight Number One hits. This Ada, Oklahoma, crowd rocker will bring fans to their feet as the final act of the day.

Country music group Lonestar made its debut on the Billboard country music charts in 1995 with the Top 10 Single “Tequila Talkin’”. Since then, the band has amassed a total of 27 singles on the country charts, with 10 of those reaching Number One. The band’s musical legacy is tied to modern-day classics like “Amazed”, “I’m Already There”, and “My Front Porch Looking In”. In 1999, Lonestar achieved crossover success when its hit single, “Amazed”, reached Number One on both the country charts and the Billboard Hot 100.

Canadian singer-songwriter Jason McCoy will also perform at Music in the Fields. With five studio albums, one greatest hits collection and songs reaching the top of the country charts such as “Born Again in Dixieland” and “This Used to be Our Town,” he's sure to ignite the crowd.

Rounding out the line-up are CCMA's 2010 Female Artist of the Year Victoria Banks, and country groups Dry County, River Junction Band and Snakebite.

We are thrilled to be hosting, what promises to be another fantastic and memorable day of music,” says Rick McMurray, Kinsmen member and co-chairman of the event. “We received amazing feedback from the fans and artists about last year’s event and setting. We are confident that this year’s Music in the Fields will be even better.”

The music festival is an annual event with profits going to various charitable and local organizations in the community.
