Adults and children enjoyed a delicious breakfast and the younger set had a chance to decorate Easter Egg cupcakes at the Easter Egg Brunch held Saturday at Bean's Bistro in downtown Kincardine. The event was a fund-raiser for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Kincardine.
Maggie Duncan, 2, daughter of Scott and Ashley Duncan of Kincardine, decorates her Easter Egg treat at Bean's Bistro Saturday Coming up in May, Bean's Bistro will host the new show by BROACH'DD, "Something Old, Something New," which opens May 5 and runs through May 6-7, and May 12-14. During the Fish Kincardine Derby, May 20-29, Bean's Bistro will be open at 5 a.m. for all the hungry anglers. The restaurant will also be featuring the "Fisherman's Breakfast," and offering a 15-per-cent discount on all breakfasts to anglers involved in the derby - just who the staff your derby card! Manager Saoirse Cameron notes that the price of coffee has been extremely volatile in the recent past. Bean's Bistro uses only fair trade coffee, but the price of that commodity can never be less than that of the world market. Planet Bean, the restaurant's supplier, has done its best to not increase its prices but is unable to do so. As of April 15, a new price list has taken effect. However, while there will be increases to some beverages, there will be price decreases for others, to help balance things out.
