When hundreds of Shriners of the Mocha Temple come to Saugeen Shores on May 27th, many of their events will be open to the public.

To kick the weekend off on Friday night, there will be a dance at the Coliseum in Southampton featuring the band "Flash Back" and free bus services.

The following day, Saturday, at 9:00 a.m., the public is also invited to attend the 'Ceremonial' at the Plex in Port Elgin.  This ceremony is a memorial service but also a chance to view firsthand the many donations that will be coming in from the Shriners' groups to go toward Children's Hospitals.

One of the major attractions will be the mammoth parade along Green Street in Port Elgin that will feature the famous Shriner clowns, motorcycle club and many others that have proven to be favourites in local Santa Claus parades.  The parade will begin at 2:00 p.m. and run through until 3:00 p.m.
