Hampton Court in Southampton held an early celebration 'Royal Wedding Tea' on Wednesday (Apr. 17). Residents decorated their own hats in all the finery of spring and enjoyed a 'high tea' celebration that included sweets and 'petit-fours'.
Exquisite desserts and petit-fours created by Hampton Court staff Residents and visitors were also given a keepsake celebratory package of English teas. The highlight of the occasion was David Gray's collection of rare Royal memorabilia that he has collected over the decades.
Royal Windsor Cross An avid monarchist, Gray has some very unusual items, including, matchbox covers with Royal images, teacups and many collectible magazines and photos. Among his prized possessions is the Royal Windsor Cross created by Spode of England, commemorating Prince William's birth and sent to Gray by his brother in England.
