Everyone is invited to experience live theatre in Southampton, on Saturday, May 7 at 8:00pm at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre.

In Heroines and Heroes of Lake Huron, Louisa Lambert, wife of Duncan Lambert, the Chantry Island Lighthouse Keeper, tells of life on a secluded island. With children to raise, teach, and keep safe from the angry waters, and a husband who often is in danger’s way because of his job, Louisa’s life is not an easy one.

The second act takes you along the shores of Lake Huron in Kincardine. It was following the agony of helplessly watching some men perish in the cold waters in a vicious storm that the first Life Saving Stations were initiated in Kincardine, and later, up and down the coast.

Researched, written, acted, directed, and produced by local residents of Saugeen Shores, these plays will inform and stir up emotions.

Tickets can be purchased at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre in person or by calling 519-797-2080 or 1-866-318-8889.

Seating is limited and there is only one show at 8pm on May 7th so everyone is advised to get tickets early!
