It's time to don your wedding finery for an historic royal wedding.

Kingsway Arms at Elgin Lodge is hosting St. John's Anglican Church Women's live broadcast of the Royal Wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The broadcast, on a large screen, begins at 5:00 a.m.  and will be followed with a celebratory breakfast.

Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Pencils for Kids project and a portion of your ticket price is eligible for a tax receipt.

Pencils for Kids (P4K) is a registered charity in Canada. They are a team of committed individuals, from all walk of life, determined to help children who have educational needs. They focus on one community at a time, one book at a time and one pencil at a time to create sustainable educational opportunities by providing programs, resources and infrastructure. They have no paid staff and only 3% administrative expenses.

In December 2005 Pencils for Kids discovered that thirty children in one class were sharing ONE pencil in a small community in Niger, Africa and decided to act. They partnered with Libore, a commune with 24,500 people in Niger and have been working with them ever since. P4K is now a registered charitable grass roots organization that believes in the power of small scale projects focusing on lifting children from poverty through education. They sharpen the minds of the future!

So, dress up in your favourite fun wedding attire. Dust off your tiara or fancy hat. Dig out your favourite tie and join us. Everyone is welcome.

Tickets are $20 and available at Ralph’s or from St. John’s ACW. Visit the St. John’s ACW webpage at www.ssangch.com.
