'Daydream Believers' is filled with a wide variety of gifts and antiques |

Jennifer Maxell and her husband recently moved from the busy municipality of Collingwood to follow a dream. Jennifer had always wanted to own a heritage home and have her own business. Today, she has both.
Jennifer Maxwell has reason to smile! She lives in the hamlet of Cargill in Bruce County and her new store, 'Daydream Believers' is just up the road and located on the main street in the village of Paisley. This little-known artistic community has become a 'mecca' for those looking for the unusual. At 'Daydream Believers', there are gifts for every budget from antique collectibles to cards and candles to children's wear.
Daydream Believers on Paisley's main street "We are trying to feature as much local and Canadian craftsmanship as possible," says Maxwell. "I wanted gifts that were special, unique and that people could access for less than $30. Right now, we are having an estate sale of well-known resident Bert Harris. We also carry a beautiful line of scented candles, room sprays and body lotions by 'pureliving aromatherapy', a Canadian company." |
What began as a dream, 'Daydream Believers' will be celebrating its first anniversary on May 1st. "People ask me if I named the store after the song 'Daydream Believer'," says Maxwell. "I must admit," she laughs, "it was the later version by Anne Murray that gave me the idea."
