dies at age 59

Judy Anne Thompson (Storgard), beloved wife of the late Bob Thompson of Ripley, died peacefully, with her family by her side, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, on Sunday, April 24, 2011, at age 59. 

She was born on July 31, 1951, in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, to the late Judy (Dwyer) and John Storgard. 

She is survived by two sons, Rob (Jennifer) Thompson and Todd (Tammy) Thompson, and grandson Callum, all of Ripley; and sister, Lorna (John) Parsons of Swift Current, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her brother, Carter Storgard. 

Visitation was held at MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley, on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. 

The funeral was held at St. Andrew’s United Church, Ripley, on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at 1:30 p.m., with Betty Elliott and Kenneth Craig officiating. 

Pallbearers were John Parsons, Terry Dwyer, Shawn Parsons, Andrew MacDonald, Paul Murray and Ben Beishuizen. 

Interment Ripley Cemetery. 

Donations to the Ripley Agricultural Society or the Purple Grove Community Centre were greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
